Frequently asked questions

Where do the prices come from?+

Spot precious metals and major currencies come from interbank bid/ask feeds; industrial metals and energy from COMEX/NYMEX/ICE front-month futures; crypto from Kraken and Binance; reference FX from the European Central Bank. Multiple sources are combined by median and checked for bad ticks.

How fresh is the data on each plan?+

Prices are collected every few seconds. Each plan sees data at its update interval — daily on Free, down to 5 seconds on Enterprise. Bid/ask, karat and streaming are available on paid plans.

Is the API compatible with my existing MetalAPI integration?+

Yes. Endpoints, parameters, the rates format (XAU and USDXAU), error codes and the rate_limit block are unchanged. Existing API keys keep working.

What happens when I reach my monthly quota?+

Requests return error 105 until the quota resets on the 1st of the month (UTC). Upgrading takes effect immediately. /symbols and /usage never count towards the quota.

Can I use the API from a browser?+

Yes. Restrict the key to your domains in the dashboard; requests from other origins are rejected. For public pages, our widgets are the easiest option.

Do you offer refunds or cancellations?+

Plans are monthly or yearly and can be cancelled at any time from the billing page; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
